Stalling for Life

Days adrift

Night owls glare

Opportunity missed

Who, who is there?

Just a rap on a pane

A window of glass

Nota a buxom young dame

Or a tight curvy lass

The rolling of wind

Or just hot air

Distracts times bend

As if one could care

The minutes and hours

Days and years

Defy all the powers

Ones taught to fear

To be alone and strong

Is a task of time

The older ones life’s long

The more solitary binds

A natural progression

Of probability and height

As years of succession

May set on new plights

At least not to forget

One steadfast rule

No time for regret

Just life trying to fool
